Nominations for National Council
Nominations are called for:

Five (5) National Council Members (for a 2 year term)
Elections for which will be held during the National Conference on the morning of Saturday 10 November.

Nominations close at 9:00am on Saturday 13 October (National Constitution para 422 (2) b))

Before nominating a partner/member you are encouraged to pray and to read the "Guide to National Resourcing Roles" which provides a brief outline of each position and the key skills/gifts needed.
Nomination Process
Submitting nominations
Nominations can be submitted (National Constitution 422 (1)) by

WMCNZ churches
-
Ordained Ministers (Pastors) of the WMCNZ
-
Licensed Ministers (Pastors) of the WMCNZ
-
Commissioned Ministers (Pastors) of the WMCNZ
-
Supply Ministers (National Constitution 351)
-
Lay Pastors appointed by the National Superintendent to lead a WMCNZ church (National Constitution 216 (2) and 218)
-
Lay representatives and lay observers from each church to the National Conference (National Constitution 216, 219 and 222)

Currently serving National Council members

After Nomination
Nominees have the opportunity to accept or decline the nomination.

Election
The names of those who have accepted nomination for National Council Member along with the names of those National Council nominate for National Officers will be placed on the ballot for the elections which will be held during the National Conference on the morning of Saturday 10 November.
